FORMULAIRE

FORMULAIRE is a reflection on the dialogue between music, speech, writing, and mathematics. The video installation is based on the collection of mathematical models displayed in the Henri Poincaré Institute in Paris. These geometric models were initially used as a teaching tool to help students visualize abstract mathematical objects. Here, these enigmatic forms are described using the language of math, music, and cinema. The film also explores the human side of mathematical invention as a small theatre of sounds, some of which contribute to a fundamental understanding of our world, viewed through a ludic mask.
