FIFA and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Montreal celebrate Swiss art films on ARTS.FILM

FIFA and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Montreal celebrate Swiss art films on ARTS.FILM

Continuing with a long-term fruitful alliance, the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Montréal are pleased to present the event WatCH your film, honouring films on art and art films produced and co-produced by Switzerland. For this occasion, nine films specially selected from the ARTS.FILM catalogue will be offered to the platform’s subscribers from Friday, November 19 to Sunday, November 28, 2021, and the general public will be able to take advantage of a promotional subscription to ARTS.FILM at $55 (instead of $60) (see practical information on page 2). This Canada-wide initiative, supported by SWISS FILMS, will delight those who love Swiss arts and culture.

FIFA is thrilled with this joint initiative,” stated Philippe U. del Drago, Executive and Artistic Director of the International Festival of Films on Art, and we would like to thank the top representatives of the Consulate General of Switzerland in Montréal for their support once again in celebrating, on a scale that reflects its true merit, the prolific and remarkable scope of film production in and associated with Switzerland. With a subtle nod to the data code of the Confédération helvétique, CHerche ton film offers the opportunity to (re)discover the works by talented Swiss directors who have made their mark on recent editions of the Festival. On the eve of FIFA’s fortieth anniversary, I’m proud to count Switzerland as a major ally that has stamped the Festival with its imprimatur since FIFA was founded.”

The Consulate General of Switzerland in Montréal is happy to once again partner with the International Festival of Films on art,” noted Giancarlo Paduano-Heller, Consul and Head of Cultural Affairs. This time, we are taking action to highlight Swiss films with works are unique, innovative, and still surprising. I would like to sincerely thank FIFA for its constant devotion to bringing films on art to the public eye, as well as Swiss Films for its continued support. Discover all the variety and creativity of Swiss art through the magnificent films offered on ARTS.FILM!”
