Présenté comme un événement spécial au Festival du Film de Locarno, Dancing Free offre une plongée fascinante dans le monde de la chorégraphie contemporaine, dévoilant le processus créatif de trois chorégraphes émergentes : Virginie Brunelle du Québec, Annie Hanauer des États-Unis et Lea Moro de Suisse. Sélectionnées pour l’édition inaugurale du festival LAC Lugano Dance Project en Suisse, ces artistes explorent et interrogent le concept d’utopie à travers leur art et leur imagination.

Elettra Fiumi is a Swiss-based Florentine-American award-winning producer, director, and editor. She is the founder of Fiumi Studios, a Lugano-based production company. She is the writer and director of Radical Landscapes, a documentary feature about her late father’s 1960s pioneering artistic group in the radical architecture movement, which premiered at DOC NYC in November 2022. She has worked on documentary films for Netflix, Amazon Prime, The New Yorker and BBC. She has won awards at New York International Film Awards, San Francisco Film Festival, European Cinema Festival and Elba Film Festival. Her films have been screened at museums like Vitra Design Museum, Design Museum Brussels and Palazzo Strozzi. She is a Graham Foundation grant winner and the documentaries she produced or directed have been selected for international pitching workshops including IDS Academy, Documentary Campus, Biografilm’s Bio to B and DOK Leipzig. She is a professor of journalism and film at Franklin University Switzerland and an alum of the Columbia Journalism School and Mount Holyoke College.
