« Jusqu’où irions-nous pour une photographie ? », c’est la question que pose la cinéaste new-yorkaise Annie Berman à travers un travail de 20 ans d’exploration du fandom, des souvenirs, de la mémoire et de l’héritage de trois des plus grandes icônes culturelles de notre époque : le pape Jean-Paul II, Elvis Presley et Diana, princesse de Galles. Un film à la fois ironique et profond qui fait écho à notre monde obsédé par la célébrité et la reconnaissance sociale.

Annie Berman is a media artist living and working in New York City. Named one of Independent Magazine’s 10 Filmmakers to Watch, recipient of the Best Experimental Film Prize at the Rome Independent Film Festival, her films, performances and installations have shown internationally in cinemas, festivals, galleries, and universities including MoMA, Rooftop Films, Camden International Film Festival, and the Spring/Break Art Show. Support for her work includes NYSCA, the Puffin Foundation, and the Jewish Film Institute. She earned her MFA from Hunter College and teaches filmmaking at City College.
