Bergeron, la suite…
Philippe Lupien, Martin Fafard
Germain Bergeron, a sculptor from the 1960s who was part of the same movement as Vaillancourt, Trudeau and Bélanger, created gigantic sculptures using recycled metal. In 2010, he met Robert Brulotte, a visionary designer from L’Assomption, who was excited by his work. Brulotte founded L’Art en plein air in L’Assomption, with the aim of refreshing the works stored at Bergeron’s home and putting them on public display. With enthusiastic support from the community, 14 monumental sculptures were restored and installed in L’Assomption’s arts district.
