Indigeneities of the Americas
Indigenous Stories and Perspectives

The International Festival of Films on Art (Le FIFA), in collaboration with Fotogenia (Mexico), Dart (Chile), and ARCA International Festival of Films on Arts (Uruguay), launches Indigenous Voices of the Americas, a project designed to highlight cinematic works created by Indigenous communities across the Americas. The aim is to celebrate the diversity and richness of Indigenous voices by providing a platform where their stories can be shared, heard, and valued.
Indigenous Voices of the Americas is built on a central idea: to create an annual and multifaceted gathering between Indigenous communities, cinephiles, and partner festivals. Each edition will present a unique and evolving program, developed in collaboration with Indigenous artists, curators, and organizations, in order to reflect the diversity of histories, traditions, and artistic expressions. The selected programs will be showcased throughout the year in all partner festivals.
The ambition of Indigenous Voices of the Americas is to be a living project, shaped by the exchanges and collaborations it fosters. Beyond simply screening films, this initiative aims to become a true crossroads of ideas and expressions. Each gathering will be an opportunity to engage in dialogue, learn, and forge lasting connections between artists, curators, partner organizations, festivals, and audiences. Together, we hope to contribute to greater recognition of Indigenous voices in the global cinematic and cultural landscape.
