What are the dates of the 43rd edition of Le FIFA?

The 43rd edition of the festival will take place from March 13th to 23rd, 2025 in Montreal and Quebec City and from March 21st to 30th online on ARTS.FILM. In addition, FIFA Connexions will take place between March 17 and 19, 2025

Does your festival take place in theatres or online?

Both! FIFA will be in theatres in Montreal and Quebec City from March 13 to 23. The online edition will run from March 21 to 30.

It is possible to obtain a In Theatres Passport on the Festival's online box office.

Can I already get single tickets for the 43rd edition of FIFA?

Single tickets for the In Theatres Festival will be available as soon as the program is unveiled on February 25 at 10AM. Passports for the 43rd edition are now available on our online Box Office.

How can I access the films online?

Purchase your Online Passport at the Festival’s online box office from February 25, 10:00a.m.

You will then receive login information by e-mail.

Finally, you can log on to our ARTS.FILM platform to access films between March 21 00:00 (EDT) and March 30 23:59 (EDT).

The online festival program does not include all the films that will be shown in theatres at the festival.

Will all the films presented in theatres also be broadcasted online?

No, not all of the In Theatres programming will also be broadcasted online. There is no film that will be broadcasted online only as part of this edition.

Where can I watch the films of the Online Edition ?

The online films of the 43rd edition of Le FIFA will be available only in Quebec for copyright reasons.

Please note that the ARTS.FILM year-round catalog is available across Canada.

Are all of the films in the program for a general public?

Most of the films are suitable for all audiences. However, viewer discretion is advised for some films. This will be noted in the description for the films concerned in the online viewing platform as well as in the film synopsis on FIFA’s website.

How can I access the content of FIFA Connexions professional activities?

FIFA Connexions' professional activities are open to passport holders and can be booked free of charge at the box office. For details of activities, click here.

I’d like to get a paper schedule. How do I get one?

Paper Schedules will be available free of charge shortly before the festival at our partner venues and at the festival's venues. More details to follow.

Where can i consult the program?

You can browse our complete catalog, or select Montreal, Quebec or online programming. Filters are then available to sort films by broadcasting date or subject.

Where can I find the list of films in competition?

You can find the list of short films in competition here and the list of feature-length films in competition here.

Are the films available at all times during the festival?

Yes, from March 24 00:00 (EDT) to April 2 23:59 (EDT), you will be able to listen to the films of the online festival at the time of your choice. There is no time restriction from the moment you start listening to a film; you can end it at any time you wish, within the online festival dates.

How do I purchase my In Theatres Passport at the presale rate?

The online box office is accessible through Le FIFA website, under the Box Office tab. You can get your passport there.

Do I need to reserve each screening if I buy the In Theatres Passport?

No. There is no further booking step once the passport has been purchased. We do not provide $0 tickets for passport/accreditation holders.

We reserve a quota in each venue for passport holders.

Be sure to show up in advance to guarantee your place in this quota.

If a session is sold out at the box office, the quota reserved for passports remains reserved. We never touch it.

Can I offer a In Theatres Passport as a gift?

Yes, it is possible to offer the In Theatres Passport as a gift.

To do so, visit our ticketing page and click on Offer Le FIFA43 as a gift. You'll then be able to buy a gift certificate, which will entitle the lucky person to a free passport with their promotional code.

What type of passports do you offer for this edition?

This year we are offering several passport options including either the online or in theatres festival; both; the ARTS.FILMS annual subscription and more.

All passports will be available from 10:00 a.m. on February 25.

I would like to purchase single tickets in person at a box office. How do I do this?

Tickets for the 43rd edition will be available at our physical Box Offices only starting March 14, following the schedule of the different screenings. You can wait until the day of the screening you want to attend to buy your tickets, but we strongly advise you to make your reservations online as early as February 25, 10AM.

Are there physical points of sale this year?

Yes, there will be box offices set up in each venue during the festival (starting from March 14th - Single Ticket sale will not be possible during the Opening Night). The box offices open 1 hour before the first screening and close 30 minutes after the start of the last screening.

Are the seats assigned?

No, all our tickets are sold on a general admission basis. There are no assigned seats. We recommend that you arrive early to guarantee the best seats possible.

The In Theatres Passport offer doesn’t work for me. I’d rather have tickets for each screening I want to see. What can I do?

The 6-ticket Package is perfect for you. Enjoy 6 screenings for $60.

You can reserve the package from February 25 onwards via our online ticketing service, and exchange them for festival tickets (when you buy online, or in person during the festival).

Can I share my passport with a relative or friend if we don’t go to the same movies?

No, it is strictly forbidden to lend your passport to anyone, it is personal and non-transferable. A proof of identity will be systematically requested at the entrance.

The VIP passport is the only offer that allows you to share with another person.

I can no longer attend a screening, can I make an exchange or get a refund?

No, all our sales are final, non-exchangeable and non-refundable. To consult all the terms and conditions of sale, please consult the online box office.

Can I purchase a ticket to watch a single film online ?

It is not possible to purchase a ticket for a particular film from the online program, only the online passport is on sale. On the other hand, it is possible to get single tickets for a in theatres screening.

Do you offer reduced rates for single tickets?

No, there are no specific rates by age group or status. FIFA is committed to making culture accessible by keeping ticket prices affordable for everyone, without distinction.

What payment methods are accepted?

Purchases can be made only with a credit card. During the festival, you will be able to pay in cash or with a card (credit or interac) at our box offices.

What does an annual subscription to the ARTS.FILM platform give me access to?

The annual subscription to the ARTS.FILM platform gives access to a selection of films, many of them available exclusively in Canada, promising an extraordinary immersion in the most original art practices in the world. Some films from previous editions of the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) are also available online on the ARTS.FILM platform.

The ARTS.FILM annual subscription does not give you access to the online programming of the 43rd edition. The online passport will be available for purchase from February 25.

Can I offer an ARTS.FILM subscription as a gift?

Yes, it is possible to offer an ARTS.FILM subscription as a gift. It is essential to choose the gift option to offer the ARTS.FILM subscription.

To do so, visit the ARTS.FILM box office and click on Offer ARTS.FILM as a gift. You'll then be able to buy a gift certificate, which will enable the lucky person to purchase a free subscription thanks to their promotional code.

How can I access the online films?

Purchase your ARTS.FILM 1 year unlimited subscription on our online box office. (Not to be confused with the online passport, which will be available starting February 25).

You will receive an access code by email.

Then you can connect to the online viewing platform to access all the films.

How can I create a customized list of films on the online viewing platform?

You can click on “Watch later” if you want to tag a film to make your own list. Then, you can find it again by clicking on the “Watch later” menu at the top of the page.

Are the films on the ARTS.FILM platform available in other countries?

The films of ARTS.FILM's year round programming are available only in Canada.


Please note that the festival's online programming (available via the online passport) is only available in Quebec.

Are the films available at all times?

When a film is accessible on the platform, it is available at all times. The catalogue is updated regularly.

Important ! The festival's online programming (different from the annual catalog of ARTS.FILM) will be available only from between March 21 00:00 (EDT) and March 30 23:59 (EDT).

On the ARTS.FILM platform, can I watch films from previous editions of FIFA?

Certain films from previous editions may also be available on the platform.

How often will more films be added to the platform?

New films are added every two weeks.

Are all of the films in the program for a general public?

Most of the films are suitable for all audiences. However, viewer discretion is advised for some films. This will be specified in the description for the films concerned in the online viewing platform as well as in the film synopsis on FIFA’s website.

How can I find a specific film on the online viewing platform?

If you can’t find a particular film, you can type its title in the search bar. You can also browse by collection, if you know which one the film belongs to.

Are the films presented in their original version?

Most of the films are presented in their original version. If the original version is in neither English nor French, the film will be subtitled in one of the two official languages — French or English.

Unfortunately, it isn’t always possible to have English subtitling for a film in French or French subtitling for a film in English or another language. Often, these subtitled versions don’t exist because they’re too costly to produce.

Does the subscription allow me to view the entire catalogue?

Yes, the subscription provides you with access to all of the regular content on the ARTS.FILM platform.


Important! This subscription doesn't grant you access to the online festival.

How long is my subscription valid?

An annual subscription is effective until its end date: one (1) year, to the day, from the date of purchase.

Attention: any annual subscription to the ARTS.FILM platform purchased before the platform’s official launch on March 29, 2021, will take effect on that date, so that you will benefit from a full one (1) year subscription.

What payment methods are accepted?

Purchases can be made only with a credit card.

What should I do if I’m billed more than once?

If this happens, you can contact customer services at support@lefifa.com and send the purchase confirmation that you received by email. A verification will be made.

Can I be reimbursed?

All annual subscriptions sold to the ARTS.FILM platform are final and non-refundable.

Is my subscription for me only?

All annual subscriptions to the ARTS.FILM platform are for one person and non-transferable.

Platform Connection

How can I connect to the online viewing platform?

Once you have purchased your annual subscription, go to the online viewing platform.

Enter the username and password that you will have received by email.

Make sure that you aren’t connected to a VPN that geotags you outside of Canada.

What happens if I forget my password?

Use the password reset option on the login page to reset your password. You will need access to the email address you use to log in.

You will receive an email detailing the procedure to follow.

What should I do if my username and/​or password don’t work?

Make sure you received the confirmation email after you created your account. Check to make sure it didn’t go into your junk mail folder.

If the login interface displays "Incorrect credentials", you can use the reset password option. You will receive a new email detailing the steps to follow.

Can I watch films without an Internet connection and/​or download them?

It’s not possible to watch films without an Internet connection or to download them.

What’s the minimum Internet connection required?

A high-speed or fibre Internet connection is necessary.

What equipment do I need to watch films?

You can watch films online on PC, Mac, smartphones, or tablets.

To transfer a film to your TV set, you can use an HDMI cable (except with an IPad) or use the screen-sharing functions through Chromecast or AirPlay (see below).

Note that for security reasons, operating system manufactured after 2010 is required.

What are the requirements for Windows computers?

Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.

Linux is not supported.

It is recommended that you use the most recent version of the Chrome browser. Internet Explorer is not supported.

Can I watch content on my iPhone/​iPad?

Yes, you can watch the content on the online platform on iOS 11.2 or later.

Please note that your device’s screen sharing must be deactivated before you start the video, and that you cannot have a Lightning HDMI adapter plugged into your device.

Can I watch content on my Android Device?

Yes, you can watch content using Chrome on Android 6.0 or later.

Can I use Roku or Fire TV Stick to watch films?

The Festival does not have specific applications for these devices. In some cases, you may be able to cast the film by selecting the cast button on the bottom right-hand corner of the player:

Yes from a Chrome web browser on PC and Mac computers and on Android devices by selecting the cast button in the bottom right-hand side of the player:

Can I use AirPlay on my AppleTV?

You can use AirPlay from most browsers if you have Apple TV by selecting the AirPlay button in the bottom right-hand corner of the player:

Can I use the ARTS.FILM application on Apple TV to watch movies?

You can use the ARTS.FILM app if you have an Apple TV of generation 4 or higher:

If you own AppleTV, you can download the ARTS.FILM app to watch movies on your TV.

Step 1: Download the ARTS.FILM app to your Apple TV.

Step 2: On your ARTS.FILM account, select the "Watch on my TV" option and enter the code that appears on your TV.

Please note that from generation 1 to 3, only screen sharing is available. The ARTS.FILM application can be downloaded from generation 4 and onwards.

What to do if the sound or image does not work?

We recommend that you refresh the page.

If the problem persists, check your computer and/or TV settings. Otherwise, restart your equipment and connect to the platform again.

Why does video playback stall or not play smoothly?

We use adaptive bitrate streaming, which means that the streaming quality will automatically adjust based on your Internet speed. If your Internet connection is poor or inconsistent you may experience problems during playback.

Here are some ways you might resolve the problem:

  • Connect to the Internet with a cable rather than WiFi, or move closer to your router.

  • It is recommended that you use the most recent version of the Chrome browser.
  • Close all other windows and applications on your computer.

  • Check that someone else connected to your wifi is not downloading something or watching a movie online.

The optimal download speed for watching a movie is between 10 and 20 mbps.

The FIFA cannot be held responsible for technical problems related to the equipment used or the internet connection. If the problem persists, contact your supplier.

Why do I see a black screen if I am watching content with AirPlay on my TV?

You likely have “Screen Mirroring” turned on in your device settings. Please turn off the screen mirroring setting and start AirPlay by selecting the “AirPlay” button in the bottom right-hand corner of the player:

Why do I see a black screen if I’m watching a film with Chromecast on my TV?

Some versions of Chromecast can’t handle transitions from one video to another. If this happens, deactivate screen sharing and launch it again once film playback begins.
