Circa. 1967 is a silent film composed of 8mm footage shot by a group of anonymous filmmakers in New York during the late 1960s. It is clear that they were no everyday amateurs, but people with avid and curious visual sensibilities. To this found footage a serial grid is added to the overall composition, emphasizing image and rhythm. Part historical documentary and part lyrical essay, Circa. 1967 observes and celebrates universal life in a familiar context.
