Coastland
Miruna Dunu
This stunning fictional narrative, rooted in architectural research, tells the story of the Western Black Sea coast. Beginning in a distant future, the film travels back to the place’s origins to reveal its cycles of destruction and rebirth. Created entirely with works from the personal collection of director Miruna Dunu (1991 – ), the film’s images transport viewers from the early 1960s to the late 1980s. A highly original work, this documentary travels to distant lands between fiction and reality.
