In a dialogue with the art centre designed by Frank Gehry in 2014 for the Fondation Louis Vuitton, French artist Daniel Buren’s Observatory of Light covers the building’s emblematic glass “sails” with an array of multicoloured filters. Gilles Coudert’s camera captures the complexity and beauty of the building, while following the development of the installation that completely transforms it. Accompanied by curator Suzanne Pagé and engineer Nicolas Paschal, who in turn introduce the installation and the artist, Daniel Buren discusses his work and artistic approach.
