David Adjaye – Collaborations: A Portrait of the Architect Through the Eyes of Others
Oliver Hardt
The British-Ghanaian architect David Adjaye (b. 1966) is currently completing the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington. Rooted in the notion of dialogue, his design draws from both European and African traditions. The film presents several of his works, including the Stephen Lawrence Centre in London and the Sugar Hill housing complex in Harlem. Interviews with curators, artists and friends shed light on his working methods.
