            Frank Sinatra ou l’âge d’or de l’Amérique
Michel Viotte
The golden age in the long career of Frank Sinatra (1915−1998) was undoubtedly the 1950s and 1960s: records, concerts, television … everything was crowned with success. At the same time, America was in a halcyon era. It is this conjunction — the golden age of the legendary singer-actor and of the country whose radiance he personified — that this film depicts, along with its darker side. A documentary road movie, it follows the still-visible traces of a remarkable artist and the American dream he symbolized. This production marks the centenary of his birth.
