Glass and Bones
Giulio Boato
This short film proposes an oneiric voyage through the 57th International Art Exhibition in Venice, where we visit the Glass and Bone Sculptures 1977 – 2017 exhibit by Jan Fabre. Spectator Zero enters a deserted abbey at the heart of Venice, where she discovers sculptures and installations made from only two types of materials: glass and bone. Through her gaze, the spectators travel between death and metamorphosis, sharing the thoughts of one of the most influential artists of the last decades, for whom art, science, and religion are interwoven : Jan Fabre.
