Jheronimus Bosch, Touched by the Devil
Pieter Van Huystee
A team of art historians attempts to elucidate the mysteries of the twenty-five paintings attributed to Hieronymous Bosch (1450−1516). Over a period of five years, they travelled the world, visiting such museums as the Louvre, Prado and National Gallery in Washington. By using modern techniques, including X‑rays, infrared photography and multi-spectrum analysis, they were able to make in-depth analyses of the works, helping us to see Bosch’s oeuvre in a new light.
