Built in several phases from the 1960s onwards, the Montreal metro is renowned for its architecture and integrated works of art. The stations, all different and many of them astonishing, bring together some of the most representative neighborhoods in the city’s history and urban life. They also resonate with the works of many authors, whether novelists, film-makers, cartoonists… Docomomo Québec’s guided tour will introduce you to some of these aspects.
Please make sure you have an unlimited transit pass (24h or more), and bring your headphones. The meeting point will be in the center of Place-St-Henri station, near the Jacques de Tonnancour sculpture, after the turnstiles.
