Richard Copans
In 2006, Bernard Arnault, the CEO of LVMH, decided to build the Louis Vuitton Foundation, a centre dedicated to modern and contemporary art, on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne. It epitomizes the Foundation’s policy of artistic philanthropy. Topped by 12 glass sails, the building was designed by Frank Gehry, the architect responsible for the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
