Filmed at MoMA and Tate Modern, it captures the preparation and exhibition of Matisse’s sophisticated cutouts, with a spotlight on the conservation of MoMA’s prized The Swimming Pool.’ The film weaves beautifully filmed exhibition footage with Matisse’s biography, behind-the-scenes material, and appearances by special guests such as Tate director Nicholas Serota and MoMA director Glenn Lowry.
