Melt is a performance inspired by disappearing glaciers. Their gradual melt is suggested by the slow submersion of the body under foil papers that mimic the glinting, cracking ice — the sound of which is evoked by the artist gently displacing the foil with her hands and feet. Belinda Campbell explores questions of appearance and disappearance through performance, deconstructing movement in search of the forces that transform us.
