Moi, Georg Baselitz
Heinz Peter Schwerfel
German artist and sculptor Georg Baselitz is one of the world’s most important contemporary artists. His work is exhibited in the world’s most prestigious museums and the art market can’t seem to get enough of his paintings. For more than 30 years, the director Heinz Peter Schwerfel has turned his camera on the non-conformist and opinionated artist, recording his thoughts and exploring his methods. This documentary features the artist’s exploration of his own art as he revisits his early milestones and the works that had the greatest impact on him. A fascinating encounter with an unconventional artist.
