Moving body, floating head
Allison Moore
World Premiere
An experimental animation film, Moving Body, Floating Head is a visual poem about movement in the city. A collaboration between Canadian director Allison Moore and Japanese dancer/choreographer Akiyoshi Nita, the film is made in pixilation (an animation technique in which the subjects are filmed frame by frame). Akiyoshi Nita improvises dance movements in reaction to crowd movements in three sites in Tokyo around the Seibu-Shinjuku train station, one of the largest in the world.
