Bob Vanderbob
Program presented as part of the program Diagonals — Program 2
Artist Bob Vanderbob, a.k.a. Bobvan, draws on science and science-fiction metaphors in creating his Artificial Mythology project, a poetic vision of our techno-human identity in an era of technological acceleration, and of our quest for meaning and beauty as we venture out into the solar system. The film is structured around his installation Offspring at the Strepy-Thieu boat lift, part of the ARTour biennial in Belgium.
