Pompei, eternal emotion
Pappi Corsicato
A poetic evocation of the contradictory feelings of life and death felt in Pompeii. Tourists seem to be frozen in time, like the casts of the victims of the ancient city who perished in the volcanic eruption in 79 AD. At the foot of Mount Vesuvius, the streets of the city, the ruins of its houses, temples and theatres seem to await a new beginning. Changing colours according to the time, weather and light, the volcano is an overwhelming presence.
