Prélude à Debussy
Marie Guilloux
French composer Claude Debussy (1862 – 1918) embodied total artistic freedom and a musical avant-garde. An anti-conformist and often extravagant artist, his music seems mysterious and inaccessible to some, fascinating and brilliant to others. Through the words of renowned musicians and composers – Pierre Boulez, Alexandre Tharaud, Leonard Bernstein – and numerous archival documents and musical excerpts, this film paints a portrait of a spectacular artist.
