Olivia Peregrino’s debut feature, this documentary rescues Nancy Cárdenas from oblivion. She was one of the most prolific playwrights of the ​’68 generation and a pioneer of LGBTQ+ rights in Mexico. The film acquires inestimable value as an exercise in memory, by recovering the voice of a woman who defied the homophobia and censorship of her time, living her identity openly in a context marked by social and political intolerance.
