It is the journey of Thomas Dodji Kpadé, who decides to travel to the land of Vodou in Benin, in order to better understand the mystery of these sounds, of this culture that has always resonated within him. He takes director Amaury Voslion with him to this part of West Africa that will change both of them forever.

Amaury Voslion

Amaury Voslions films are nourished by painting, photography, cinema and music. For many years, they have looked at creation, artists and their process. Awarded at Cannes in 2003 for in-depth work on underground New York cinema, he has produced numerous documentaries on cinema, photography, music and even Michelin-starred cuisine for Arte, Ciné +, TV5, Paris Première, among others.

A trained photographer, often cinematographer and editor of his films, he has directed several short fiction films including Trouble”, selected at the Premiers plans festival in Angers and the Côté Court Festival in Pantin.

He also produces black and white music videos with photographer Richard Dumas, for artists like Tindersticks, Les innocents, Dominique A, Rosemary Standley.
He also signs portrait films for Amart films, with and about the contemporary artist Jean-Luc Verna, the musician Thomas de Pourquery, the videographer Pierrick Sorin and more recently the dancer Jeanne Morel, where his style imposes itself, including the aesthetic reflects his emotion in front of their creations.
Also a screenwriter, he is currently developing his first feature film for cinema, as well as a detective series for television.
