The Orchestra. Claudio Abbado and the musicians of the Mozart Orchestra
Francesco Merini, Helmut Failoni
The Mozart Orchestra, founded in Bologna in 2004, was the last musical project of conductor Claudio Abbado (1933−2014). It brings together the best classical music performers in the world, with promising young artists playing alongside established soloists. Featuring an unpublished interview with the maestro and excerpts from concerts, the film follows the orchestra on its 2013 European tour and provides a rare glimpse into the lives of classical musicians and the meticulous work of a great conductor.
