The Singing Glass

United States, Israel | 2019 | 29 min
The glass harmonica was invented by Benjamin Franklin and sank into oblivion after its eerie sound and touch were blamed for strange occurrences including illness, madness and death. Gerhard Finkenbeiner, a German scientific glassblower based in New England, relaunched the production of the exquisite instrument in 1984. Fifteen years later, he mysteriously vanished.
