Welding on rust
Nathanaël Corre
Program presented as part of the program Diagonals — Program 2
The former Canada Malting factory towers over the Montreal neighbourhood of Saint-Henri. Although imposing, it is a mere vestige of a glorious industrial past on the Lachine Canal. Abandoned for 25 years, it has become a playground for graffiti artists and urban explorers. But someone is keeping watch: the welder who seals off the entrances in a game of cat and mouse with visitors to the condemned ruins.
