Billsville
Maisie Jacobson
In a Montreal apartment, tiny lights flicker, casting light on bizarre portraits and fantastic machines. Amid the chaos, Bill Anhang is working on his latest creation. Guided by the words of prophets who appear to him in visions, he works to “bring new light to mankind.” At age 85, he has been invited to New York for his first-ever exhibition, at the prestigious American Folk Art Museum in Manhattan. In addition to introducing this unique Montreal artist to viewers, filmmaker Maisie Jacobson explores issues related to creativity, success and human relations.
