For 25 years, the normally empty streets of the small German town of Rudolstadt have become an avalanche of sounds and colours spanning four long summer days and nights. The cultures of the world intertwine when 100,000 visitors and 1,200 artists come from around the globe to enjoy the special atmosphere of one of Europe’s largest world music festivals. Before the camera, the musicians, visitors and organizers try to find the words to describe the very unique spirit that pervades the event. A musical journey full of poetic images and fabulous sounds, this film reveals the connecting power of music and the magic of being together.
