Dale
Dale Hikawa is the first Asian woman to join the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, in a field traditionally dominated by white men. She rises through the ranks to become the principal violist, paving new paths as a Japanese-American musician. Reflecting on her long career, this pioneering violist contemplates the meaning of her life’s work. DALE shines a light on her journey while maintaining the mystery surrounding those who dedicate their lives to the pursuit of an ideal.
