Florent Mahoukou est un danseur chorégraphe et réalisateur indépendant. Il débute sa carrière avec Cie BINA-NGOUA/Serge Bissadissi à Pointe-Noire. Après il se lance dans la chorégraphie avec sa 1 er pièce « Corps en transe ». Il crée un festival dans les rues au Congo…
Il se fait remarqué avec sa pièce On The Steps… Lauréate 1 er Prix DAD et du Prix Puma Créative en 2000 à Bamako. Enrichi par les rencontres qui l’ont nourrie dans son parcours au Congo comme à l’étranger. Il continue de confronter son travail artistique avec d’autres disciplines d’horizons différents et s’inspire du territoire urbain.
