The ARCHES series, powered by Montreal’s vocal ensemble Les Rugissants, combines music and architectural heritage. It takes place in notable or historically significant architectural sites, both secular and sacred. ARCHES : Salle Bourgie is part of the Montréal Pluriel series, which illustrates the contribution of different communities — English-speaking, cultural, religious and LGBTQ+ communities — to the building and identity of downtown Montréal. This series, supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, is developed in partnership with the Canadian International Organ Competition (CIOC), the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Arte Musica Foundation, the McCord Museum, the Musée des Hospitalières de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal and the Dominion Square Tavern.

Alexandre de Bellefeuille is a film director & director of photography based in Montreal. His work ranges from fiction to documentary, to which he adds some recent incursion in the realm of visual art films. His films have been selected in numerous film festivals such as Les Rendez-Vous Cinéma Québec, the International Festival of Films on Art (Fifa) and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Films Festival. By exploring and documenting the work of other artists, Alexandre thrives to shift the typical way we look at art through film, making the format a complementary one, expanding the perspective on the documented performance, but also a singular artwork in itself.
