Gilbert Poissant, mon atlas is a dive into the process of creating a tabletop installation, a poetic and playful representation of the artist’s favourite places, Mont Saint-Hilaire in Quebec and Upper Kingsburg in Nova Scotia. He uses maps and paper to infuse the work with his passions for architecture and geography as well as his attachment to the land, all interspersed with symbols that are close to his heart. The documentary invites us to discover the work through the eyes of the director/animator who, in turn, has fun interpreting this paper world.
