Artists in Love|New collection on ARTS.FILM
Saint Valentine’s Day is upon us, and ARTS.FILM has prepared (with passion) a collection about artists in love: from the romance between Joan Mitchell and Jean Paul Riopelle to the tumultuous love life of Ernest Hemingway, and including some of the stories of Vassily Kandinsky, you’ll learn everything, thanks to us, about the relationships that fueled the fire of creation. In Top 3, an animated film that at times recalls Joachim Trier’s Julie (in 12 Chapters), two young men question the compromises to be made in the name of a relationship. In Letter of Love to Léopold L. Foulem, filmmaker Renée Blanchar generously films a creator she admires. In Playback, we witness a tragic declaration of love and friendship, which strongly reminds us of the urgency of cherishing those who are dear to us in our daily lives.
