The International Festival of Films on Art is committed to promoting Quebec’s artistic creation and wishes to highlight the talent of local artists. For the design of the 43nd edition trophies, the choice fell on Josée Desjardins, conceptual jewellery artist. By collaborating with the artist, Le FIFA wishes to pay tribute to the richness of Quebec’s crafts.

The magnificent trophies for the 43rd edition of le FIFA were created by the incredible Josée Desjardins, one of the few conceptual jewellery artists in Quebec. Josée is fascinated by objects. She is constantly seeking to make visible their intangible essences as markers of silent time and bearers of a personal or collective memory that, through matter, contracts and reveals the sensitive energy that resonates within each of us.
Carte blanche… that’s the only brief she was given to create and produce the trophies for this 43rd edition of the festival. “This trophy is more than just an object: it’s an invitation to look beyond the surface, to grasp the vibrant energy and memory buried in the things around us. It embodies, through each of its component parts, the history of creation, gesture and gaze.” — Josée Desjardins
