An appointment that is part of a collaboration with MUTEK.

Aseman Sabet is an independent curator, art historian and lecturer at Université du Québec à Montréal. Some of her most recent exhibition projects include The New States of Being (CEUM, 2019), developed in collaboration with the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology and Bioethics at Harvard, as well as Through the Forest (2018) and Natural Stories (2021), both part of a series of three carte blanche invitations by the Musée d’art contemporain des Laurentides. Aseman Sabet also works as a visual arts reporter (Radio-Canada, ARTV), as a speaker and as a writer for contemporary art publications. She sits on the editorial board of ESPACE magazine, as well as on the artistic committee of Molior, an organization dedicated to the production of exhibitions that dialogue with new technologies.

Foreword by Aseman Sabet

For several years now, the International Festival of Films on Art has distinguished itself by its ability to innovate, to push its own boundaries, while remaining true to its mission. In this context of openness, the invitation to work as a guest programmer for the festival’s 40th edition is particularly meaningful to me.”
