Creating a film with around twenty actors and dancers with Down syndrome is the challenge taken on by filmmaker David B. Ricard and choreographer Menka Nagrani. Together, they present Eurêka, a dance-fiction film set in a carnival universe, immersing us in the behind-the-scenes of this extraordinary human and artistic experience. From conception to filming, the process is rich in learning, both artistically and humanly.

Yves Whissell
Yves Whissel has been an independent director and editor for the past fifteen years. He’s worked on projects ranging from fiction (Claire and Michel, The documentary, Gate 22), to documentary (The fibers of transmission, We wanted to make a science-fiction film). As well as having worked for Télé-Québec (The cultural factory), he also involves himself at the heart of many festivals and events in Québec as a projectionist, video manager, and technical director. With these many experiences, he also lives an artistic life amongst the multidisciplinary collective, Agnès, based in Outaouais.
