La memoria de las frutas (Diáspora)
Claudia Claremi
Presented only in theatres.
This film is part of the FIFA Expérimental section program Toucher à distance.
With La memoria de las frutas (Diáspora), Claudia Claremi offers a short experimental film shot in 16mm in which people from the diaspora remember their strong emotional bond with Caribbean fruits and describe with their hands how they eat them. We witness a succession of actions filmed in silence — micro choreographies of simple but eloquent and deeply felt gestures. The body remembers.
