At a pivotal moment in the history of writing, as the archives of humanity are migrating to digital, the filmmaker of Au-delà du papier embarks on a journey around the planet. Of Romanian and Armenian descent, she aims to better understand how to preserve her own heritage — and our collective memory. Combining intellect and poetry, her personal yet universal quest explores the continuum between paper and digital, reminding us that human knowledge is above all a matter of soul and spirit.
