Crash Test oscillates between art cinema and film noir, delving into the contentious journey of Russian artist Pyotr Pavlensky. Centered on Pornopolitics, his pornographic work featuring politicians and officials, the film has stirred the media, political, and social realms in France, until Pavlensky was summoned before a Parisian court on June 28, 2023. At the heart of Crash Test lies a poignant interview with Pavlensky himself, where he ardently defends his artistic stance, turning the film into a direct confrontation with the state, an exploration of the mechanisms of power, and a manifesto for artistic freedom.
