In 2018, three Magdalen Islanders in love with traditions get together to make one of their dreams come true: to build, for the first time in more than 25 years, a wooden boat commonly called a cul pointu, once used by Magdalen Island fishermen. The film follows the evolution of the boat over three years, from the beginning of construction to its launch, while capturing the rhythm of life of the islanders. A story of friendship, solidarity, skill and resourcefulness, directors James Gray and Marie-Christine Lavoie plunge us into the life of the shed, the realm of palaver, where crazy projects are born, such as the construction of a long lost boat.
