In Belgium, the musicians of the prestigious Antwerp Symphony Orchestra are committed to teaching music to elementary school students from some 40 countries. The power of music as a universal language quickly emerges within the school, situated in a disadvantaged neighborhood. Through learning to play the instruments and rehearsals, the children discover the pleasure of playing together and the positive effects of this activity on their lives. Glowing with kindness and joy, the film shows that music knows no social or ethnic barriers, fosters self-confidence, enhances cognitive capacities, and encourages people to live in harmony with each other.
