HILAN WARSHAW is a New York-based filmmaker, writer, and educator. Through his production company, Overtone Films LLC, he produces and directs independent films as well as projects for organizations including Carnegie Hall, New York City Opera, the League of American Orchestras, the Drama League, the Fund for the City of New York, American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and public-relations firms Goddard Gunster and Interactions Marketing, among others. His films include Wagner’s Jews, broadcasted on many different TV channels around the world.. He holds a B.F.A. and M.F.A. from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. An experienced violinist and conductor, he studied orchestral conducting at Mannes College of Music and the Aspen Music School.
