Le FIFA continues to promote this project internationally
Indigeneities of the Americas
FIFA is proud to continue one of the flagship projects of its 2025 festival, Indigeneities of the Americas, a programme of short films celebrating the richness and diversity of filmmaking by Indigenous communities across the American continent.
First presented in Montreal during the 43rd edition of the festival, the programme is now going international and will be screened at the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris on Thursday, 9 October 2025.
“For several years now, the Canadian Cultural Centre has been partnering with Le FIFA European tour, an annual event that has become an essential part of our fall programming. With “Indigeneities of the Americas” we present the work of Caroline Monnet, an artist dear to our institution, within a plurality of voices and perspectives that transcend all borders — geographical, political, and symbolic — of the American continent. These short films bring together distinct Indigenous communities who, separately and together, address us all and ask us this question: what do we do with what we see? ” — Catherine Bédard, Curator and Programming Director, Canadian Cultural Centre, Paris.
Developed in collaboration with the Fotogenia Festival (Mexico), Dart (Chile) and ARCA International Festival of Films on Arts (Uruguay), this programme reflects the plurality of contemporary Indigenous voices, traditions and forms of expression.

Through these works, FIFA reaffirms its commitment to promoting often underrepresented artistic and cultural perspectives and encouraging dialogue between creators from across the Americas.
The presentation in Paris will take place in the presence of Mercedes Sader, co-creator of the programme and director of the ARCA festival in Uruguay.
