A documentary essay on listening that takes as a point of reference three sound artists (Chris Watson, Daniel Wilson, and Jo Thomas). The project takes an unsuspected turn when the director encounters the American deaf author, Louise Stern, on a bus. Little Tsunamis skilfully interweaves a number of individual plots that, together, inform the director’s personal journey as he constructs his film. On the way, he visits unusual places and has fortuitous encounters, giving a glimpse of an infinite field of listening beyond hearing.
