Throughout her life, Marguerite Duras always portrayed herself in her work. But behind the superstar author of L’Amant, which fascinates or annoys, behind the young Indochinese girl who is her double in the novel, hide other, perhaps lesser-known, facets of the character. Both an author and a filmmaker, Duras is also a journalist, a committed woman, a lover, and a loving mother. Starting from her work, and therefore from the end of her life, this literary and historical fresco allows us to (re)discover the epic existence of Marguerite Duras, firmly rooted in her century, but always entirely guided by writing.
