Jean de La Fontaine, l’homme qui aimait les fables

Pascale Bouhenic

France | 2021 | 52 min
Since the French poet Jean de La Fontaine brought fables back into fashion in 1668, artists have been constantly imagining new ways to represent them. This visual evolution has made it possible for the fables to be portrayed in multiple ways and their interpretation to be broadened. Through illustrations, this fantasy-filled film celebrates the life and work of the poet who graced Louis XIVs court and whose success arrived later in life but remains unwavering until this day.
