Created shortly after going through a harrowing and transformative personal experience, Visions is a fragmentary work whose elements are interconnected by threads of light. Emerging from a variety of dreams, memories and visions experienced during a hospitalization Visions is a poetic exploration of the thin line that separates life from death.

Maxime Corbeil-Perron

Maxime Corbeil-Perron, an artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal, explores various artistic mediums including audiovisual performance, experimental cinema, electroacoustic composition, improvisation, sound art, and installation. His recent work, focusing on media archaeology, aims to forge connections between obsolete media and contemporary technologies, delving into new aesthetics. As a filmmaker, he has won numerous prestigious awards, including Best Experimental Animation at the Ann Arbor Film Festival (2021) and the Experimental Grand Prix at the Festival Tous Courts (France, 2020). As a composer and sound artist, he has received accolades such as an honorary mention at the Prix Ars Electronica (2021) and the Italian Senate Medal from the biennial composition competition Città di Udine (IT, 2012, 2016). He has been artist-in-residence at various renowned centers, and his works have been showcased at numerous international festivals and events. Distributed by several labels, his compositions have been broadcasted on international media platforms such as Radio ORF (AT) and Radio-Canada. In addition to his solo career, he has collaborated on various projects and released electronic music under different aliases. He holds a PhD in Composition and Sound Art from the University of Montreal.
