Through the eyes of visual artist Aimée Zito Lema, Dimension of Absence explores art’s ability to capture the darkest memories of Argentine history. By questioning our vision of history and transmission, the film reveals how the tragedies of the past are passed on to future generations.

Sjors Swierstra
As a curator and director, Sjors Swierstra (1982) develops projects in the fields of film, photography and modern art. His documentary The World According to Monsieur Khiar was nominated for the Prix Europa. The Incident, Armando and the myth was released in cinemas in 2018 and broadcast by NTR. He graduated from the University of Groningen with a master’s degree in cultural history.
